AUCTION CLOSES FOR BIDS TUESDAY 29 APRIL 1200 hrs
(noon UK time)
A few notes introducing our first auction on our new website…..
New Auction April Sale 289…
980 lots with almost all fresh stock packed with the usual high quality GB, with selected excellent value Commonwealth and World items. Sale closes Tuesday 29th April at 1200 noon UK time (1100 UTC).
You can now use this website to place bids on auction items; just enter your maximum bid on each lot, add it to your basket and checkout when you’re ready to submit your bids – just like you would use a normal retail site. You don’t need to create an account, but you can do if you’d prefer.
Need more items per page? Change View to 24 or ALL in the top right hand corner of the listing.

Looking for something specific? Use the category dropdown and search function to list items by country, SG number, keyword etc.
Or, to BROWSE THE ENTIRE AUCTION IN LOT NUMBER ORDER; go to menu option All Categories -> April Sale 289. Or click Go to the Online Catalogue button below. This will display the catalogue in lot number order. To get the entire catalogue on one page select ALL as above.
Our usual auction rules apply; if no-one else bids on your lot, you’ll get it for the estimate irrespective of your maximum bid (above estimate!). Bidding steps are £0.50 for lots under £10, £1 for lots up to £20, £2 for lots up to £50, £5 for lots up to £100, £10 for lots over £100. You can bid whatever you like, but remember a bid of £52 won’t trump an earlier bid of £50, whereas £55 (a valid bid step) would secure you the lot in this case. Bids of less than 90% of estimate may not be accepted.
You can also order Buy-It-Now items from our store and combine it with your bids in one order instead of searching multiple lists and completing multiple forms. We’ll be in touch after the auction closes with your successful bids and postage costs.
If you’d still rather download the catalogue and send in bids by email or phone that’s fine too. Download button below. Other questions? Please consult our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page
